Custom Design in Every Website
Once you have a good plan in place it is time to work on the design and layout of your website.
Find 3 Websites You Like
The best starting point is to find other websites that you like. Look for websites that use colors and styles that you think will be good for your new website. These are not necessarily websites for other companies in your industry. You're looking for good ways to layout the content that you have and looking for design elements that you like.
Find 3 Websites You Don't Like
We also ask that you find 3 websites that you do not like. There are so many details in a website that it is helpful if you think about both what you like and what you don't like. Your dislikes will guide us just as much as your likes.
Prioritize Your Content
You also need to figure out what it is that people will be doing on your website and what you want people to do on your website. These things are not always the same. Identify the one thing that you want people to do and share that with us so we can help you plan a design that makes it easy for people to make choices when they go to your website.
When you have this information we sit you down with a graphic artist to start your website design. Depending on how complicated your website is, this can take anywhere from a half hour to several meetings. We have graphic artists on staff who focus exclusively on what websites should look like and how they should function. Your time with them ensures that your design meets your expectations.
