Premature birth can happen to any woman. Even someone you know or love - your sister, your daughter, a co-worker or a friend. About half of all early births happen for unknown reasons. Many of these babies are so small their lives hang in the balance. Many don't survive.

Babies born even just a few weeks early are three times more likely to die before their first birthday than full term babies. Others suffer lifelong consequences, like mental retardation, chronic lung disease and blindness. That's why March of Dimes is dedicated to the fight against premature birth, and through the High Heels for High Hopes Campaign, you are helping too! The March of Dimes Foundation Salutes these Celebrity Models and their sponsoring Salons for their amazing 2008 Campaign.

CONGRATULATIONS ON RAISING OVER $55,000 FOR THE MARCH OF DIMES! These funds will support important research, education and community service programs of the March of Dimes, an organization whose mission focuses on preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant death.
